Abolition Music Therapy Forum: A Day of Consciousness Raising

Abolition Music Therapy Forum: A Day of Consciousness Raising

from $40.00

We will gather for discussion, music, and community building focused on exploring:

• How do we un-colonize music therapy?

• How can MT education be freer?

• How do we build community resources and vehicles to share information?

• How do we care for each other and for our communities?

This forum will be held by Jasmine Edwards, Zein Hassanein, and Audrey Hausig, who are music therapists and educators committed to rooting their practice and pedagogy in liberation. Their combined clinical experience includes medical and mental health settings with people of all ages. Their areas of study include un-colonizing healthcare, sociocultural dynamics in therapy, and the responsibility of therapists to seek justice inside and outside the therapy room.
